Black metal from the city of wolves. I know nothing about the mysterious Egyptian entity of Lycopolis bar that they apparently hail from Asyut and they just released their debut EP 'Opener of the Ways' yesterday, which is a compelling display of broiling and turbulent black madness rising like a stifling, crackling heat. Three tracks, in and out - sounds like it could be from a US band, but great nevertheless and the rawer production/live recorded energy hits just right.

Metal Brothers:
A band from Egypt that we know nothing about. We are used to these releases from African or Asian Muslim countries where this type of music is not well regarded and musicians live anonymously. Lycopolis is the new Black Raw project with an atmospheric touch and Post Metal from the Nile basin that debuts with the ep “Opener of the Ways”
